Spare Some Change is currently building relationships with local and national non-profits that can provide support and assist in the mission of getting kids off the streets. From rehabilitation facilities to local school systems the goal is to be able to provide any type of support the kids might need. Whether they want to go back to school, get their GED, get a job, an apartment or get into a rehabilitation facility.
Life Empowerment Seminars and Workshops - are designed to assist the kids in understanding the capacity of the human mind and provide them with the opportunity to trust and love themselves. It is the hope of this program to open up their hearts and minds to the endless possibilities that life can provide if they are willing to believe in their own self-worth. Collaborating with life coaches, social workers, public speakers etc, Spare Some Change will bring weekly or monthly seminars and workshops into the local drop-in centers. SPONSOR -A-KID PROGRAM - gives donors the opportunity to select a youth/young adult that is in the process of transitioning off the street (ie: not on drugs, securing a job and a place to live) and donate to them specifically. We will be organizing and managing this program to ensure the best candidates. The monies will be put into an account for that specific kid and managed per the sponsors request: to secure an apartment, clothes for job interviews, to pay for school, groceries, bill assistance etc. Outreach and Living Facility - In the first phase of the Spare Some Change Movement, we will be bringing the above- listed programs to local drop-in centers and directly to the streets. It is our ultimate goal to secure a facility in order to continue our work, expand on our programs and provide a safe place for kids to turn when they have nowhere else to go. The facility will encompass two of our main objectives: • A permanent location for the above mentioned programs; • A living facility for kids who are ready to transition off the streets;
